Woo-hoo, Wednesdays are my favorite days!! We've made it through the mad rush that is the beginning of the week and now we are slowly descending toward the weekend.
Here is a quick look into our family's life:
* researching Abigail Adams
* enjoying cooler weather
* reacting to seasonal allergies
* reading about William Hoy
* playing with friends
* visiting the neighborhood park
* purging and cleaning out closets
* clicking on ABCs with this FREE game:
ABC Alphabet Phonics - Preschool Kids Game Free Lite
* practicing skip-counting
* purging and cleaning out closets
* enjoying "old school" Sesame Street
* making Halloween costumes (Can anyone tell who our five year old is going to be?)
What is YOUR family up to?
We've been doing much of the same things! I'd be interested to hear how you teach skip counting. :)
ReplyDeleteOur homeschool curriculum has audio CDs with skip-counting songs. Addie's an auditory learner, so that really helps. (http://www.classicalconversationsbooks.com/necy2aucd.html or there's a new $15 app that I believe also has all the music: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/foundations-memory-work-tutorials/id714463714?mt=8&uo=4&at=%3C%3Ctoken%3E%3E)
DeleteWe haven't printed these off yet, but another student in Addie's class LOVES them. http://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/blog/2012/07/skip-counting-mazes.html
I also have some charts that Addie and I work on coloring in together. I can't find the link online, so I'll e-mail you the pdf.
So glad you stopped by!
