Thursday Class Wrap-Up: More, Diaper, Hurt

We had three absent families this week--we missed you all and can't wait to see you next week!

Session 1, Week 2 is a little bit of a mish-mash of all the miscellaneous (but necessary) signs that don't fit into the other three themes. :) It's really three classes in one!

First, we reviewed our food signs! It sounds like everyone is doing a great job practicing at home. :)

Next, we went over the signs in one of my very favorite books, Bear Wants More.

We sang The Bear Went Over the Mountain. (Here's the sign for mountain.)

We played Hide and Seek with our bears and blankets, using the sign for WHERE.

We practiced our colors.

Then we read Where is the Green Sheep?, a seriously great book for practicing all kinds of signs! Click here to hear the author (Mem Fox) read the book out loud.

We learned the signs for hurt, diaper, and potty and practiced them with our rhymes and the song Diaper Dance.

We practiced MORE with bubbles. :)

Next week: PETS!
Evening session students, check your email this weekend for our make-up date (I'm thinking Wednesday).

Thanks for making my Thursdays AWESOME. And Happy Mother's Day to each one of you. <3
